Important Update: Nationwide Shortage of Co-codamol 30/500 and Zapain
Unfortunately, there are currently nationwide shortages of co-codamol 30/500 and Zapain tablets. To manage stock levels and ensure fair access for all patients, the Practice has temporarily altered the way these medications are prescribed:
- Switch to Generic: All Zapain prescriptions will be changed to co-codamol 30/500 tablets. This is the same medication, just the generic (unbranded) version, so you should not notice any difference in effectiveness.
- Reduced Quantities: The number of tablets supplied for all repeat prescriptions will be limited to 60. However, if you require more, you can request your next supply as soon as it is needed; you do not need to wait a full month for your next prescription.
