Your appointments matter
Every week, valuable appointments are lost when patients do not attend and do not let us know. Our DNA policy helps make things fair for everyone. We are looking to implement it from 1-12-25. We understand that sometimes there are genuine reasons for not attending but you must let us know so that these can be taken into consideration and recorded in your medical record.
If you can’t attend your appointment
Please let us know as soon as possible at least 3 hours in advance of your appointment. You can cancel easily:
- 📞 Call: 01639 825265
- 🌐 Online: email quaysmedicalpractice.w98040@wales.nhs.uk
What happens if you miss an appointment
We treat missed appointments fairly and consistently:
| Number of Missed Appointments | What Happens |
| First DNA | You will receive a letter explaining our policy and your missed appointment. |
| Second DNA | You will receive a second letter reminding you of your second missed appointment. |
| Third DNA | The Practice Manager will discuss your case with the GP partners. You may be asked to discuss the issue further, but it might result in your removal from the practice list. |
Why this matters
We want to make sure everyone can access care when they need it. By cancelling appointments you cannot attend, you help:
✅ Other patients get timely appointments
✅ Staff make best use of NHS resources
✅ Keep waiting times shorter for all
Thank you for your cooperation
